Correct a print-time estimate

Use one completed print to adjust a comparable future slicer estimate.

When this helps

Use one completed print to adjust a comparable future slicer estimate. Start with Previous estimated duration; this calculator reports Adjusted duration.

Method

Correction factor = previous actual time ÷ previous estimate. Adjusted time = next estimate × factor.

Example inputs

Previous estimated duration
4 h
Previous actual duration
4.6 h
Next estimated duration
6 h

Calculated outputs

Time correction factor
1.15 ratio
Adjusted duration
6.9 h

How to read the result

With these example inputs, Adjusted duration is 6.9 h. Use that value for the setting or decision named above, and read the other outputs as supporting checks.

Common mistake

Do not leave Previous estimated duration at the example value of 4 h unless it matches your own measurement.

Assumptions and limits

Use comparable settings and print conditions. One previous print is a planning estimate, not a verified prediction of printer behaviour.
