  1. Preserve before install

Keep the original project and known-good G-code so colour and purge changes and the experimental K3 mixed-diameter nozzle workflow can be compared.

  2. First validation after update

For K3, confirm actual nozzle diameters match filament mapping and test a simple model first; the 0.2, 0.6 and 0.8 mm parameters are not fully validated. Then inspect colour, purge, Adaptive TPMS and ZAA in Preview.

Good to know

Creality Print is Creality's desktop slicer and device workspace for preparing, sending and following jobs on supported printers. Recent releases combine Orca-style slicing controls with Creality machine presets, LAN and WAN delivery, CFS multi-material handling and an integrated model ecosystem.

Where it fits

It is most useful for a recent Creality printer when slicing, filament mapping, transfer, camera view and print status should remain inside the manufacturer's desktop workflow.

Install and update note

Use the latest stable release for routine printing and choose the asset for the operating system and CPU. Release pages publish package checksums; Windows supports incremental hot updates in newer versions, while a major upgrade still deserves a preset export and one verified test job.

Common questions

Which Creality Print package should I install?

The official instructions provide a Windows installer and portable option, separate Apple Silicon and Intel DMGs for macOS, and an AppImage for Ubuntu-class Linux systems. Match the filename to the machine's operating system and CPU.

Check the source ↗
Can a Creality Print download be verified?

Yes. Official GitHub release assets publish SHA-256 values beside the files. Calculate the downloaded file's SHA-256 locally and compare the complete value before running it.

Check the source ↗
Why can a Creality printer be added by IP but remain absent from the device list?

Creality's support guide identifies an unchecked model-matching option as one cause. Enable model matching so the connected machine can appear in the device interface.

Check the source ↗
How do newer Creality Print updates work on Windows?

Release 7.1.1 introduced hot updates that prefer a smaller incremental patch for routine upgrades instead of downloading the complete installer again. Major migrations should still be checked against the exact release notes.

A quick check before installing
0/3

A project file is not an installer

A .3mf file holds model or project data. Opening it does not install the slicer. After opening a project, check the printer, nozzle and material settings.

Check the official requirements

Files are hosted by the developers. Before installing, check their system requirements and release notes. A file labelled for your platform does not establish the minimum OS version.
